More Debates, Please!

Forget basketball.  My favorite contact sport this year is politics. I haven't had this much fun in decades.

I watch every debate, irrespective of party.  I've visited all of the candidates' websites, searching for those "plans" they like to talk about.  The candidates have a much different understanding of that word than I.  Basically, they all say that, if elected President, they will wave their little magic fairy wands and make everything all better.

I'm not letting the paucity of action items get in the way of my enjoyment, though.

Oh my goodness, aren't we on the same page with this!! I am lovin' these debates also. I'm especially thrilled and delighted to see Hill and Obama go at it. Or is it Bill and Obama? It would seem that Hill's unfortunate past experiences have positioned her very nicely to get good & mad - and yet, to handle it.

I have all kinds of memories being pressed, as I watch a man and woman go at this Presidential debate thing. Old junk about how little boys must not 'hit' little girls. And about how one must not fight dirty with a Lady. Well hey...

Nowadays, I am more on my mother's wavelength with this. LOL. When her grand daughter was a young child, one day, a boy hit her. Margaret-Anne came home crying. It just so happened that my mother was there on that day. Oh, this is too hilarious: my brother and sister-in-law watched, unbelieving and half-horrified, as my dear mother took M-A aside:

"Come here with me, Margaret-Anne. Now, that boy hit you? Alright, Margaret-Anne. You don't let him do that again. If he tries, you know what you do? You punch him right in the nose. Come at me, Margaret-Anne. C'mon. Punch yer granny! C'mon, Margaret-Anne. That's good. Hit harder! C'mon! You can do better 'n that!!"

Of course, my dear mother, who had 2 older brothers who liked to beat her up when she was a little kid, learn to handle things herself, as they say. After the age of 10, they were afraid of her! I can only imagine, as in a horror flick or a wild cartoon, what this whole scene might have looked like; but apparently, my mother took care of those brothers, "real good".

What better teacher for a little grand daughter? Hillary would be proud.

Debates, yes! Bring 'em on! I'm so glad you are enjoying!!

Love you.
