In Search of a New Plan

In Search of a New Plan

There will be no more surgeries (aside from nipple reconstruction on the new breast).  That means the hard, necrotic tissue will remain where it is, perhaps for years.

Dr. Kronowitz did inject steroids into the chelated areas on the new breast, navel and donor site.  That may help with the way the scars look.

I started physical therapy today in hopes of improving strength and range of motion in my left arm.

There's not much else for me to say right now.  I'm coming up with a new plan to come to terms with this new, permanent reality.

Wow. You are so straight and honest about all this. This person, who faces a challenge with such forthright courage, will surely do just fine. I imagine you have lots of fans.

I want to say something, but I am not sure what to say. I am, however, one of those fans that PastorDave mentions.

It is absolutely amazing that there is a mechanism within us that helps us...perhaps teaches us, to accept even the unacceptable. The inner strength it gives people is simply incredible!! Hang in there...You're gonna make it!!!!

I agree with the sentiments expressed. I am continually amazed at your courage, resilience, and just what you are able to live through. You are such an inspiration. May God bless you in a special way, now & in your future. I love you.

well, dear one, I think that the "No more surgery" is an awesome landmark! You are still here with us and you still have your beautiful mind. The scars you earned in battle...a battle not everyone can endure and a battle not everyone survives. So, I for one, will take you, scars and whatever, and be so very grateful to have you as part of my world, even my cyberworld! : ) Love you, girlfriend! xoxoxo

Another fan here.
I'm sorry that I broke my promise about being here more
often but, I had a nasty computer virus and had
to wipe out and reinstall everything.
I'm back now and wishing you the best with your new plan.
Sending lots of love and healing vibes.
